My Adventure Travel (formerly My Adventure Store) is a sub brand of Flight Centre Group, which specialises in selling small group and adventure style tours.
During my time at Flight Centre, I worked on several projects which improved the user experience and introduced new user interface patterns to the My Adventure Travel website.
Below are some examples.
Blog Redesign
As part of the Flight Centre Blog redesign project, I worked with the lead UX designer to restyle and improve the experience of the My Adventure Travel Blog.

Tour Page Redesign
The tour product pages of My Adventure Travel were lacking in information and did not respond to smaller device widths. I created a fresh page design which worked across mobile and tablet device, and drew attention to the most important information about the tour product.
I also introduced several new UI patterns to the redesign, aimed at chunking information into smaller, more digestable pieces for the user. Marketing or not-so-essential information could be revealed on click (or tap). These included:
- special ‘inclusions’ section which highlighted common tour features (meals, accommodations, transport);
- a compact itinerary pattern, to give an overview of the tour but all more detailed information on click/tap;
- travel dates table which identified if tour dates were available, sold out or had limited spots available (e.g. “4 spots left!”).
One of the challenges with this project was that half of the product pages were created by the marketing team, and the other half were automatically generated with content provided through third party supplier APIs.
The design needed to be able to respond to and correctly display the different ways content was entered.
